Welcome, young adventurers! Today you begin the most important part of any quest: creating your hero. Use imagination, color, and courage to build a character who will explore, solve problems, and make friends across fantastic lands.

Join us for this fun workshop where young adventurers will craft their very own Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition character! Guided step-by-step at a gentle, kid-friendly pace, each participant will build an imaginative, playable character while learning the basics of the rules in a supportive, inclusive space.

What we’ll do

  • Introduce character concepts: races, classes, backgrounds, and alignment, with simple explanations and fun examples.

  • Walk through ability scores, hit points, proficiencies, spells (if applicable), and equipment.

  • Help choose personality traits, ideals, bonds, and flaws to bring characters to life.

  • Complete a fully filled-out D&D 5e character sheet for every adventurer.

  • Offer one-on-one support so every child can move at their own comfortable pace.

Who this is for

  • Around ages 9–13

  • Ideal for kids who love storytelling, imagination, and cooperative play.

  • Safe, inclusive environment where creativity and curiosity are celebrated.

What to bring

  • Imagination

  • Kindness for the space and fellow adventures

  • Optional: your favorite set of Dice (some will be provided for anyone to use if you do not have your own)

  • Optional: a favorite toy or drawing to inspire your character.

Outcome By the end of the workshop, each adventurer will leave with:

  • A complete D&D 5e character sheet ready for play.

  • A short character backstory and role-play notes.

  • A sneak-peek intro to Day 2: Game Play 101 — where those characters will come to life at the table.

Details

  • Duration: 90 minutes

  • Space is limited to ensure individual attention pre registration is required

  • All levels of ability are accommodated; pacing tailored to each child

Q & A Session 3:00pm - 4:00pm
