Kids DnD Day 4 - Team Game Play 101

Gather your party! Day 4 is all about cooperative adventuring: honing teamwork, sharpening strategy, and celebrating the joy of shared storytelling. Young heroes will jump into a full cooperative Dungeons & Dragons-style session designed to teach how to play together, solve problems as a unit, and make decisions that affect the whole group.

What to expect

  • Group-focused session: Players form balanced teams with complementary roles to encourage communication and role-sharing.

  • Cooperative objectives: Challenges are built so success depends on collaboration—split decisions, joint skill checks, combined spells, and coordinated movements.

  • Problem-solving encounters: Puzzles, social encounters, and combat scenarios that require planning, negotiation, and creative use of each character’s abilities.

  • Safe, supportive environment: Game Masters model positive feedback, conflict resolution, and inclusive play so every voice is heard and respected.

Learning goals

  • Improve clear communication and active listening

  • Develop collaborative decision-making and compromise

  • Build strategic thinking: anticipating outcomes and planning multi-step actions

  • Practice empathy and role-playing through character perspectives

  • Manage in-game resources responsibly (hit points, spells, items)

What kids should bring

  • Curiosity and imagination!

  • A fully completed character sheet level 2: Following 5th Edition Dungan's & Dragons regulations

  • Optional: your favorite set of Dice (some will be provided for anyone to use if you do not have your own)

  • Space is limited to ensure individual attention pre registration is required

  • All levels of ability are accommodated; pacing tailored to each child

Q & A Session 3:00pm - 4:00pm

  • Addition support and guidance for any adventures who would like more help or have any questions.
