Self-Anointing Oil Daily Ritual
Begin each day by inviting a sacred moment of connection through your self-anointing oil ritual. Gently rub a small amount of oil between your palms, feeling its warmth and energy awaken your senses.
A little on my hands for what I do: As you anoint your hands, set your intention to infuse every action you take with purpose, compassion, and mindful energy. Let your hands become instruments of healing, creativity, and kindness.
At my feet for where I go: Carefully place oil on your feet, grounding yourself to the Earth’s nurturing energy. Embrace the path that lies ahead, walking with confidence, balance, and spiritual guidance.
At my third eye for what I know: Dab a drop gently on your third eye—the center of intuition and insight. Open your mind to wisdom beyond the ordinary, allowing clarity, inspiration, and inner knowing to flow freely throughout your day.
This simple, enchanted ritual grounds your spirit, aligns your intentions, and invites healing energy to accompany you every step of your journey. Embrace this daily offering of self-care and sacred connection, and watch magic unfold in all that you do.
Litha
A Celebration of Light and Blessing: Litha, the Summer Solstice
Litha, the summer solstice, graces us with the longest day of the year—a radiant and luminous gift of light, warmth, and unbridled joy that fills the air with enchanting energy. As the sun stands majestically at its highest point, casting golden rays that dance across the earth, we are gently reminded to pause, breathe deeply, and honor this magnificent and sacred blessing. It is a truly special moment to celebrate not only the sun's powerful energy but also the abundance, growth, and blossoming vitality it nurtures within us and all living beings around us.
This sacred day invites us to fully embrace the vibrant light, to gather joyfully with loved ones, to dance freely in its glow, to feast on nature’s bounty, and to infuse our spirits with profound gratitude and reverence. Litha marks the turning point when the days begin their slow, graceful retreat into darkness, whispering to us softly that all things move in eternal cycles—just as the sun sets each evening, new beginnings will always rise with renewed promise.
At Traveler’s Moon, we warmly encourage you to welcome Litha with open hearts and shimmering intentions filled with hope and magic. Light a candle that flickers like the sun’s flame, hold a radiant crystal such as citrine or sunstone close to your heart, and breathe deeply in the magic of summer’s radiant peak. Celebrate your many blessings, honor the sun’s enduring strength and wisdom, and carry this vibrant light within your soul as you journey forward, guided gently by its warmth and radiant power. May your Litha be bright, joyous, and deeply enchanted, filling your world with wonder and peace.
Solstice Sun Chanting and Movement Ritual: Step by Step
Preparation
Find a quiet outdoor space where you can face the rising or setting sun.
Wear comfortable, loose clothing to allow free movement.
Bring a journal, your favorite healing crystal (such as sunstone or citrine), and a small bowl of water.
Take a few deep breaths to center yourself and ground your energy.
Step 1: Setting the Sacred Space
Place your crystal and bowl of water on the ground before you, creating a simple altar.
Light a candle or incense if you wish, to invite the sun’s energy into your circle.
Close your eyes and visualize golden sun rays enveloping your entire being with warmth, light, and healing.
Step 2: Opening Chant
Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart, arms relaxed at your sides.
Breathe in deeply through your nose, then slowly exhale through your mouth.
Begin chanting the mantra: “Sól, Solis, light my soul, warm my heart, make me whole.”
Repeat this chant 3 times, feeling each word vibrate through your body.
Step 3: Movement Invocation
Raise your arms slowly overhead, palms facing the sun, as if welcoming its embrace.
Inhale deeply, and as you exhale, sway gently from side to side, allowing your body to awaken with the sun’s rhythm.
Repeat this movement for 5 minutes, syncing your breath with your motion.
Feel the sun’s energy pouring into your crown and filling your entire body with life force.
Step 4: Sun Salutation Flow
Transition into a slow sun salutation sequence:
Inhale, reach your arms high toward the sun.
Exhale, fold forward, touching the earth.
Inhale, lift halfway, lengthen your spine.
Exhale, step back to a plank pose.
Lower down slowly to the ground.
Inhale, cobra or upward dog pose, gazing at the sun.
Exhale, downward dog.
Step forward, inhale gently lifting.
Exhale, fold forward.
Inhale, rise up with arms overhead.
Repeat this flow 3 times, moving with mindfulness and grace.
Step 5: Closing Chant and Gratitude
Return to standing position with hands over your heart.
Hold your crystal in one hand and gaze softly into the sun or its light reflections.
Chant softly: “Sun of the solstice, bright and clear, nurture my spirit throughout the year.”
Express gratitude silently or aloud for the sun’s healing power.
Take three deep breaths, grounding your energy once more.
Step 6: Ritual Completion
Drink a few drops of the water from the bowl, imagining the sun’s energy flowing into you.
Sit quietly for a few moments, journal any insights or feelings.
Close your ritual by blowing out the candle or incense, thanking the elements and the sun for their presence.
Embrace the profound magic of the solstice sun, allowing this ritual to kindle your inner light, balance your energy, and align your soul with the eternal dance of the cosmos.
Solstice Sun Incantation
Radiant Sun upon your throne,
Bring your light to hearts unknown.
Golden rays, both fierce and bright,
Bless this day with sacred light.
Warm the earth and sky above,
Fill our souls with peace and love.
From the dawn to twilight’s rest,
Grant us energy with summer zest.
Sun of Solstice, burn away
Shadowed fears and doubts today.
In your glow, renew and mend,
Guide us now, our light, our friend.
By your fire, our spirits rise,
Underneath your endless skies.
So mote it be, the spell is cast,
Sun’s bright power, forever last.
